Howard Highlights

Welcome to The Howard School

At The Howard School, we understand that every child can learn, and we believe that every child should have the opportunity to succeed. We are dedicated to discovering each student’s unique way of learning, to deepening each learner’s understanding of an ever-changing world, and to paving the way for a fulfilling future for our graduates.

Our mission is to successfully teach each student in the unique way that student learns. The Howard School educates students with language learning disabilities and learning differences. Instruction is personalized to complement individual learning styles, to address student needs, and to help each student understand his or her learning process. The curriculum focuses on depth of understanding in order to make learning meaningful, and therefore, maximize educational success.

Using an integrated curriculum based upon the science and theory of learning — and progressive teaching methods — we personalize instruction to match the way each student processes information and constructs knowledge. We honor the uniqueness of each learner, emphasizing individual talents and addressing each one's difficulties. Empowered with the knowledge of how they learn best, our students are prepared to learn for a lifetime.
